JAKARTA - The Gemini integration, Google's Artificial Intelligence (AI) model, will not be found in the latest version of Siri alone. According to the latest report, Gemini will also be integrated into the iPhone's core application.

This news comes after Apple decided to scale down their internal projects. The company is working on an ambitious project called World Knowledge Answers to compete with ChatGPT and Perplexity.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the latest version of Siri will be the biggest integration in Gemini's adoption. The voice assistant will get full support from Google's large language model (LLM).

This change will have a direct impact on the planned massive overhaul of the Safari browser this year. In line with the overhaul, the document reliability evaluator feature and cross-reference data are being temporarily discontinued.

In addition to Safari, the AI feature for the Health app is also reported to be back to the initial planning stage. Apple seems to want to ensure that every AI feature on its device works simultaneously under one Siri control.

The departure of John Giannandrea as a senior executive in the AI division at Apple is one of the factors that changed the direction of this policy. Apple now prioritizes the user experience rather than planting independent chatbots in every application.

Gemini integration is expected to make Siri interact more intelligently with apps such as Music, TV, and Podcasts. Users will experience more personalized AI assistance through the existing App Intents framework.
