JAKARTA - So far, Twitter users have been accustomed to the heart-shaped button located below the tweet. This button is usually used to give a short reaction to a particular tweet.
However, for the company, the short reaction that is manifested in the shape of a heart is still not enough. Still not enough to meet user needs.
And soon, Twitter users can get more choices of tweet reactions in the form of emojis. According to a report by researcher Jane Manchun Wong, this new reaction consists of 'Likes', 'Cheer', 'Hmm', 'Sad', and 'Haha'.

Based on Wing's findings, there are four new emojis that the company is developing. However, it is still unclear when Twitter will release it and how the emoji will be implemented on the platform.
Through these emojis, Twitter offers users the shortest and fastest way to respond to someone's tweet. Especially when the user is busy with certain activities.
"Twitter is just working on Tweet Reactions such as 'Like', 'Cheer', 'Hmm', 'Sad', and 'Haha'," wrote the researcher who likes to explore the new features of this technology platform through his personal Twitter account, Saturday, May 29.
Over the past few months, Wong has repeatedly shared leaks that materialized shortly thereafter. Examples include the Twitter verification program, Tip Jar, a subscription program called 'Blue', and many more.
And from the choice of emoji, Twitter seems to use the results of research which states that the emojis 'laughing while crying' and 'crying face' are the most frequently used throughout 2020.
Made Based on User Survey SurveyActually, this step is not a form of Twitter following the market flow. The reason is, TechCrunch reported in March that the company is indeed conducting a user survey about the potential for adding more emoji choices.
As we can see from the image above, Twitter uses emojis for the answer choices from the survey. Unfortunately, Twitter is reluctant to share the continuation of the survey results.
Until yesterday, when Jane Manchun Wong shared a new Twitter feature. We, as loyal users, finally know what the function of the survey is.
So, when will this new reaction emoji launch? Unfortunately, Jane can't give exact information. Meanwhile, Twitter has yet to confirm this.
