Komdigi Affirms New Direction For Digital Indonesia: Connected, Growing, And Maintained

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology is promoting the new direction for Indonesia Digital through the 3T campaign, namely Connected, Growing, Maintained, as a priority framework for Indonesia's future digital development.

In the Pillars Connected and Growing, the Minister of Communication and Digo, Meutya Hafid, encourages the expansion of cheap internet and access to remote areas, development of digital talent, implementation of AI Ethics and Roadmap AI.

"Connection is very, very important, not only in urban areas but also in remote villages. Hopefully in 2026 we can improve the network, so that everyone gets the same rights," said Meutya at the Christmas Celebration event of the Telecommunication Network Provider Association (APJATEL) on Thursday, December 11.

Meanwhile, in the pillars of the Guard, Komdigi will strengthen public protection through personal data protection, strengthening the National Data Center, as well as handling malicious content and digital fraud, to implementing PP 17/2025 or PP TUNAS.

"So after growth occurs, we need to remind each other that this connectivity must be secure, must be safe, must bring benefits," he added.

Meutya emphasized that efforts to realize the new future of Indonesia Digital also require the commitment of all parties to carry out national synergy and collaboration.

In this case, Meutya emphasized that Komdigi's position as an orchestrator, enabler, and accelerator, ensures that digital policies and implementation run in harmony between regional centers.

In addition, he also emphasized the importance of collaborating with various parties including other Ministries/Institutions, industry, operators, startups, MSMEs, academics, associations, communities, and global partners.

"We face it together, because it is a bit difficult to stem technological advances, at the same time, protect and strengthen existing industries. Now this needs intense communication from the government with friends, industrial leaders in their fields," concluded Meutya.
