JAKARTA Spotify launched a new feature for users who want to control their listening experience. This so-called Propted Playlist feature can change algorithms via words.
This innovation provides a new experience that is so unique. Users can direct their Spotify algorithm without the need to listen to the same song or playlist repeatedly.
This feature has just been tested in beta for Premium subscribers in New Zealand starting Thursday, December 11. Users can direct or form Spotify recommendations just by creating a prompt.
For now, the Producted Playlist only supports English. Spotify did not explain whether they would expand its trial in the near future and when the stable version would be released. The platform also did not disclose plans for an expansion of its language.
Through the Producted Playlist feature, users can describe the type of music they want to hear and set rules for personal playlists. This feature takes advantage of the entire history of listening to users, not just the current tastes.

This right algorithm can be obtained by giving specific and layered commands. For example, users can ask for 'high-energy pop and hip-hop music to run 5K for 30 minutes'. Users can include music from their favorite movies or series.
The resulting playlist can be refined by editing the original command. Users can also choose to start from scratch. For each song, Spotify will include descriptions and contexts that tell the reasons for the recommendation.
Users also have the option to set playlists to update every day or every week. If users have difficulty setting up their account algorithm, they can press the 'Ide' button provided by Spotify as a help.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
