Cloudflare: DDoS Attacks Increase During 2025, Indonesia Is The Most

JAKARTA - Cloudflare's latest report for the third quarter of 2025 shows a sharp increase in worldwide distributed-of-service (DDoS) attack activity.

Based on the report, from 2025 to October, Cloudflare has successfully mitigated 36.2 million DDoS attacks. Up 170% of the total DDoS attacks that Cloudflare managed to mitigate throughout 2024.

Especially in the third quarter of 2025, Cloudflare automatically detected and mitigated 8.3 million DDoS attacks, up 15% on a quarterly basis (QoQ) and up 40% on an annual basis (YoY), with an average of 3,780 DDoS attacks every hour.

Of the total DDoS attacks in the world, seven of the top ten sources of attack came from the Asian region, with Indonesia in first position.

Cloudflare revealed that Indonesia is the largest source of DDoS attacks and has been ranked number one in the world for a full year (from Q3 2024 to Q3 2025).

Furthermore, in the last five years, Indonesia has shown extreme growth as a center for DDoS activities. Since Q3 2021, the percentage demand for DTTP DDoS attacks from Indonesia has jumped to 31,900%.

Then, followed by Thailand's country in second place with the most DDoS attacks in the world, Bangladesh in third place, and Ecuador and Russia in fourth and fifth positions.
