JAKARTA - Google announced that it has expanded its online shopping experience by launching the Virtual Approach Try-On feature for users in the UK and India starting from the festive season or this holiday season.

This feature allows buyers to virtually try out billions of fashion products just by uploading personal photos. Thus, you no longer need to leave the house to find a suitable outfit.

"Imagining how clothes will look at you when shopping online can be difficult. Now buyers in the UK and India can virtually try out billions of lists of clothes on themselves, just by uploading photos," Google wrote in its announcement.

Through fashion-specific artificial intelligence technology, Google presents realistic displays of various types of clothing ranging from tops, subordinates, dresses, jackets to shoes.

This AI model is claimed to be able to understand the human body shape and characteristics of clothing materials, including how cloth folds, tightens, and falls on various body shapes of its users.

With this ability, users can see the appearance of clothes that are more accurate as if they were tried directly in the dressing room, even if only one photo.

"So you can see how a piece of clothing will actually look at you from one photo of yourself," added Google.

To use this feature, users simply find the try it on icon in the list of clothing products available. This feature allows buyers to experiment with new styles and share them with friends, providing a more personal and interactive shopping experience.
