Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Black Shows 'Ninja Mode', Now With All Black Frames

JAKARTA - The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is back in the spotlight after a trusted tipter leaked new details about its black variant. Different from its predecessor, the standard black Galaxy S26 Ultra now uses a black frame, no longer silver. This change makes bezel look thicker visually, although its physical design has not changed significantly.

This information was shared by a well-known Ice Universe tipter, detailing that Samsung is removing the silver frame on the standard black variant and replacing it with a black frame completely.

For the record, the Galaxy S25 Ultra does have a Titanium Jetblack model with a black frame, but it's not a standard variant only available through the Samsung Store. In contrast, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will make the black frame the main option for black to be widely marketed.

According to the leak, the visual bezel that appears thicker may only be the effect of the black frame blending with the screen. It is not yet known what the blackness'' level of the color is, considering that smartphone manufacturers often use the term black' for colors that actually tend to be dark gray. Until now, there has been no leakage of the Galaxy S26 Ultra image in black, so details are certainly still waiting for confirmation.

The design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra itself was already leaked. Overall, the appearance has not changed much from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This phone appears to have a more rounding side, and carries a special camera island that houses its three cameras on the back of the design update which is quite striking compared to the previous model.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 Ultra in January 2026, although several previous rumors mentioned February or March. The phone will be released alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+. For performance, Samsung appears to be only using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, without the Exynos 2600 version for the Ultra model.
