OpenAI Launches ChatGPT For Teachers Until 2027 For Verified Educators

JAKARTA - OpenAI introduces its newest ChatGPT product, namely ChatGPT for Teachers which is launched free of charge for schools and teachers until June 2027.

The launch of the ChatGPT for Teachers is an effort by the company to provide sophisticated AI assistants and easy to use for educators and school leaders in the world.

"Of the 800 million people who use ChatGPT every week, teachers are one of the earliest and most active users," OpenAI wrote in an announcement on its official website quoted Thursday, November 20.

With the ChatGPT for Teachers, teachers will get a safe workspace to adapt materials for class, maximize preparation time, collaborate with colleagues, and use AI according to their wishes.

Meanwhile, school and district leaders can unite their teachers and school staff in one account with education equivalent privacy, security and compliance programs that protect student data.

To ensure extensive access, ChatGPT for Teachers will be able to be used for free until June 2027 for verified K12 educators in the United States.

In addition, the company also launched AI Literacy Blue Prints, a guide for school leaders and policymakers to support the use of responsible AI and led by teachers.

This launch is a continuation of a number of OpenAI collaborations with the American Federation of Teachers to support teacher-led innovations and equip 400.000 K'12 educators with AI skills.
