Honor X80 Ready To Come With 10,000mAh Giant Battery And Snapdragon Series 7 Chip

Jakarta Honor seems to be preparing to launch phones with extraordinary battery life. After news emerged about the Honor Power 2 equipped with the Dimensity 8500 chip and 10,000mAh battery, now leaked about other devices that are no less fierce Honor X80.

This information comes from the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) which shares details of the Honor X80 specifications on Weibo. According to DCS, this phone will use a Snapdragon series 7 chipset as well as a 6.8-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a smooth curved angle. The design is called simple but premium, prioritizing a wide and ergonomic display.

The one that steals the attention is of course the battery. Based on data from China's 3C certification, the battery allegedly belonging to Honor X80 has a measured capacity of 9,755mAh, with a typical value estimated to exceed 10,000mAh. This capacity makes X80 one of the largest smartphones ever released by Honor.

If these rumors are true, then X80 will be the successor to Honor X70 which will launch in July 2025 with a battery of 8,300mAh as well as fast charging of 80W cables and wireless. However, this time DCS said neither Honor X80 nor Power 2 would support wireless charging, the possibility to maintain thermal efficiency and reduce prices.

Although there has been no leak related to charging speed, Honor X80 is believed to be launching in the first half of 2026, most likely around July, to coincide with the anniversary of the X series.

In addition to the X80 series, Honor is also preparing Honor 500 and 500 Pros which will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, as well as Honor GT 2 and GT 2 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 8 Elite Gen 5.

With this strategy, Honor seems to want to control all segments of high performance flagship to long-lasting super-battery phones. If it is true that it carries 10,000mAh and the OLED 1.5K screen, Honor X80 could be a 'power monster' who is ready to accompany users all day without plugs.
