Regarding Content Certification Of Creators, YouTube: So Homework Must Be Explored Together

JAKARTA - China recently established a new shrimp that requires content creators or influencers, to have certain certifications if they want to create content on sensitive topics such as health, law, education, or finance.

In response to this, YouTube as the world's largest video sharing platform states that the move is a positive step for content creators.

"I think it's a good thing, because it means that the content creator profession is considered something serious. Maybe I can't imagine, 13 years ago that the content creator profession will have an extraordinary certification," said Country Director of Google Indonesia, Veronica Utami in the Press Brief YouTube Festival on Wednesday, November 5 in Jakarta.

Furthermore, Veronica also added that this certification will be able to improve the quality of Indonesian content creators who are active on digital platforms, due to the minimum standardization of capabilities.

However, he continued, further discussions are still needed with relevant stakeholders to discuss this discourse. According to him, Indonesia has a lot of content creators in various fields.

"Of course, how it's done, who's doing, how the platform's engagement, it's PR that we need to explore together with the authorities that will issue it," said Veronica.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Bonifasius Pudjianto, has also stated that his party is still studying the rules.

Before confirming the opportunity for the same rule, Boni emphasized the need for a more in-depth study and feedback from various parties related to these rules.

"The input from friends is actually the most important thing. We have to listen, if necessary, okay. But how? Like what? Then there must be a leveling grade. What if we manage, target anyone? Because now there are so many content creators," he explained.
