Jakarta Google has again expanded the use of artificial intelligence (AI) into its Android ecosystem. This time, a new feature in the form of a summary of AI-based application reviews has reportedly started to appear on the Google Play Store. The feature features a new section titled Users are saying or Users say under the Ratings and reviews column on the app page.
According to the Android Authority report, this feature now appears to be more widespread on several devices with the Play Store version 48.5.21-31. This summary generated by AI presents a short paragraph containing general points from user reviews covering both positive and negative sides of the app. That way, users can immediately get a quick picture of the quality and experience of using the app without having to read hundreds of manual comments.
However, not all apps or devices can enjoy this feature. Google seems to be implementing a gradual system and only activating AI summarys on apps that have sufficient number of reviews so that the algorithm can work optimally. Under the AI summary, users will also find additional tabs to explore deeper reviews, such as interface views, feature availability, and app performance.

The presence of this feature follows in the footsteps of its competitors. Apple already introduced a similar system on the App Store last April, while Amazon has long used AI to summarize product reviews on its e-commerce platform.
This Google move clarifies the future direction of a digital ecosystem that increasingly relies on AI to simplify information. For users, this is clearly high efficiency because there is no need to scroll through thousands of comments just to know if an application is downloadable.
This transformation is also a signal that the user experience in application stores is no longer just about star ratings, but about machine-curated narratives. The application world is getting smarter, and Google ensures that its AIs also shape the way we judge digital quality.
