Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Officially Sold, Price Breaks Rp38 Million

JAKARTA - Samsung officially brought the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra to the United States market through all major mobile operators, including AT&T. The premium foldable phone is priced starting at US$2,099 or around Rp38 million (exchange rate of Rp18,100 per US dollar) for the 256GB storage variant.

In addition to the basic model, Samsung also offers a 512GB variant for US$2,299 or around Rp41.6 million and a 1TB version for US$2,699 or around Rp48.9 million.

For consumers who buy through AT&T, the operator offers a number of financing programs and discounts. Through a qualified trade-in program and an unlimited service package, customers can get a discount of up to 1,900 US dollars so that the device installment starts at 5.56 US dollars per month.

Meanwhile, customers who choose the installment scheme without the trade-in program can take home the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 256GB with installments starting at 58.34 US dollars per month. The 512GB variant is offered with installments of 63.89 US dollars per month, while the 1TB model is priced at around 75 US dollars per month.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the most premium device in Samsung's lineup of foldable phones introduced this year. The device comes as a successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 after Samsung changed the naming scheme for its foldable product line.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra carries a 8-inch main folding screen and a 6.5-inch cover display. This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, which is designed to provide high performance on flagship devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra runs Android 17 operating system combined with the One UI 9 interface. The combination presents a variety of the latest features, including improved multitasking capabilities and an optimized user experience for foldable screen devices.

Along with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 as part of the company's latest premium device ecosystem.

Until now, Samsung has not announced the price or official launch schedule of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in Indonesia. However, the presence of this device in the global market is a signal that Samsung's latest foldable phone will begin to be marketed gradually to various countries in the near future.
