Vivo S50 Pro Mini Leaks: Use Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, Periscope Camera, And Premium Compact Design

JAKARTA Towards the end of the year, an interesting leak came from Vivo preparing its newest compact flagship line, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. The phone is scheduled to launch in China in November, and according to a recent leak from the Digital Chat Station (DCS), this device will be one of the first to carry the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

Previously, the S50 Pro Mini was rumored to be using the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus, but a new leak confirmed that Vivo switched to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, a premium class chip from Qualcomm built with a 3nm process. This processor has a primary core of 3,8GHz, a 3.32GHz performance core, and is supported by the latest generation of Adreno GPUs, promising a major performance spike in gaming and power efficiency.

In design, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini retains compact DNA such as its predecessor, the S30 Pro Mini, with a 6.3-inch flat screen of 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to offer sharp visuals and smooth touch responses, ideal for users who like practical flagship without performance compromise.

In the camera sector, a leak states that this phone will carry three rear cameras, including a telephoto periscope lens, a feature that is rarely found in small devices. For selfie needs, Vivo has set up a 50MP front camera, showing focus on premium photography on all sides.

Interestingly, DCS also said that the S50 Pro Mini will be equipped with a larger battery than the Vivo X300 with a capacity of 6,040 mAh, signaling a significant increase in endurance.

In the global market, this device is rumored to be coming with the name Vivo X300 FE, which is likely to be released in the first quarter of 2026. With flagship specifications, a periscope camera, and a tiny and luxurious design, Vivo appears to be preparing a serious competitor for premium compact series such as ASUS Zenfone 11 Compact and the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE.
