JAKARTA - Microsoft announced the game Halo: Campaign Evolved, full remake of the legendary Halo: Combat Evolved campaign will be released in 2026 for Xbox Series XS, PC, Steam, and for the first time, also present on PlayStation 5.
Built fully using Unreal Engine 5, Halo: Campaign Evolved promises a classic experience that is revived with visual 4K, new animation, remaster music, and re-filling.
Executive Producer Damon Conn said that this remake not only brings back iconic weapons and vehicles, Halo Studios also added three new missions and a series of modern features such as online co-op four cross-platform players.
"Starting from here means people who have never played this game before will be able to understand the story from scratch, and that can help us map the direction forward with new Halo stories," Conn said in his official announcement.
In this remake, players will be able to use nine additional weapons from previous Halo series, including Energy Sword and Battle Rifle. In addition, for the first time, players can seize enemy vehicles and drive Wrath tanks in the Combat Evolved campaign.
Halo Studios insists that this remake is built based on 25 years of community feedback. Classical missions such as The Library are now redesigned to make it more balanced and immersive, while narratives are enriched without changing the way of the main story.
