Never Appears, Face ID's Presence On Mac Is Far From Expectations

JAKARTA Rumors about Apple adding Face ID technology to its Mac devices have been around for years. However, until now, there is no clarity from the incident of this feature from the Cupertino company.

With the lack of leaks related to the advancement of this innovation, Face ID support for Mac is expected not to be present in the near future. The latest report from Bloomberg also states that the transition from Touch ID to Face ID still takes more time.

Apple is believed to be moving on from Touch ID support to strengthen its newest Mac security. However, this big update takes a lot of time. It is not certain how many years Apple will need to deliver this technology.

The issue of Face ID on Mac is nothing new. Several parties have predicted the arrival of this feature several times in the last five years. However, all predictions that appear are wrong.

Bloomberg also made wrong predictions. In 2021, they reported that Apple would add Face ID to the iMac M1 model. However, this feature is not visible on the device.

In 2022, Face ID support is believed to be the day for the Mac. Some even say that this is 'definite' to happen. However, as it seems to date, no Mac line has adopted the technology.

Apple has never mentioned the development of this technology. On the other hand, in 2021, Apple's Vice President of Marketing, Tom Boger, said that Face ID will not be available on Macs because Touch ID is considered more practical.

Boger explained that the user's hand was already on the keyboard, so the use of the Touch ID sensor was considered more reasonable and efficient. However, there is a possibility that Apple's thoughts will change like the alleged MacBook Pro which will adopt a touch screen in the future.
