Avatar Legends Battle Game Ready To Launch On Console And PC Next Year

Gameplay Group has announced that its newest title, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam in the summer of 2026.

Legends Avatar: The Fighting Game is a battle game rooted in the spirit of element control, as in the film or television show Avatar we know.

"Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a fast tempo 1v1 fight game where you fight as your favorite character from the Avatar franchise," wrote the game caption.

Designed for new players and veterans, this game distributes the energy of classic fighting games while creating new breakthroughs in movement, style, and expression of combat.

Built with a focus on fluidity, responsiveness, and online integrity, this game invites players to find the real meaning of fighting for their purpose.

The game features 2D animated images that match the roots of this series, exclusive rollback netcodes, and full cross-play features for smooth and competitive gameplay.

Legends Avatar: The Fighting Game will feature 12 characters that can be played at launch, with more coming through the season model.

Each supporting character presents a unique fighting style and a special movement. The game offers a movement-based flow system, a single-player campaign with original stories, as well as features such as combo trials, gallery modes, and cross-play with the best network code in its class.

Additional features will be announced, while the game is still in the development stage and its official title has not been determined.
