JAKARTA - Kaspersky announced the launch of the latest External Attack Surface (External Attack Surface) module in the Digital Footprint Intelligence (DFI) service, which is available directly on the Threat Intelligence portal.
This improvement introduces the capabilities of External Attack Surface Management (EASM), which provides the security team for the visibility and control they need to stay ahead of cybercriminals by continuing monitoring and securing the external perimeter of their organization.
The latest module can help overcome cyber attack challenges by monitoring exposed infrastructure, detecting vulnerabilities, and providing risk assessments to guide remediation steps.
"With the External Attack Surface module, we not only provide them with visibility about what attackers can see but also recommendations to reduce exposure and respond effectively," Yuliya Novikova, Head of Digital Footprint Intelligence at Kaspersky.
In addition, the module is also processing and storing historical data, allowing teams to track changes, investigate incidents retrospectively, and gain insight into the dynamics of their overall security posture.

The data are collected from several dedicated search engines, maximizing visibility across hosts and services. Each problem found is complemented by a detailed description and recommended mitigation, helping organizations move quickly from the detection stage to completion.
"By enriching DFI with EASM functionality, we continue to expand the scope of our Threat Intelligence portfolio and present cross-product synergies that empower security teams with more in-depth insight, faster investigations, and more resilient cyber defense," concluded Yulya.
