JAKARTA Apple has launched its first firmware for AirPods Pro 3. This update is available after Apple launched iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and other operating systems (OS) to various parts of the world

The new available Firmware was released with build number 8A357. This is a minor update of version 8A356 released in conjunction with iOS 26. This update is specifically intended for the newly launched AirPods Pro 3.

The version 8A356 update already includes seven new features so the version 8A357 won't include major changes. Most likely, Apple only fixed some of the bugs they found in the firmware.

That way, users will get a more optimal experience. This is a proactive step from Apple to perfect its products. This small improvement is important to maintain product quality.

Users cannot manually trigger this firmware update. There are several steps users need to take, as Apple recommends, so that the update can be installed.

To update the AirPods Pro 3, make sure the iPhone or other devices are connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. AirPods must be put in a charging platform that is connected to power sources. This process takes at least 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, users can reopen the charging platform. AirPods will reconnect and new firmware is already installed. This is the recommended way for Apple to ensure the firmware is downloaded automatically.
