Explore Jupiteriter And Control Space And Time With VisionOS 26

JAKARTA - The Jupiteriter environment promised when WWDC 2025 finally arrived at the Apple Vision Pro with the release of the visionOS 26 candidate. This is how this interactive environment works.

Apple offers some immersive environments for Apple Vision Pro users to work. Most are static views with little animation and audio, while others have more moving elements, even rain.

Jupiter's environment is unique because it is Apple's first interactive immersive environment. This is not the first time for Apple Vision Pro, because the Bikini Bottom environment of Paramount and Disney's Fighter's Tower environment also have interactive elements.

Even so, what Apple has done with Jupiter is really interesting. It's kind of flashback to the initial Apple Watch feature called "Time Travel."

In Jupiter's environment, users are placed on the Amalthea moon overlooking the gas giant planet. Direct to the control center to open the "Explore Jupiter" option featuring a small control panel.

Choose a day or slide a panel to move forward or backward in time. The sun and stars rotate around the user as time goes on This is really a cinematic effect.

Apple also minimizes a 3D version of other visible months, some of which cross between Amalthea and Jupiteriter, which is a pleasant effect. There are options to make the time run normally, faster, or stop all movements.

It's hard to say whether the environment really reflects 10 hours a day in Jupiter's Jupiter, but it seems so. When in normal speed, there is a movement that is barely visible as the moon swings in its orbit around Jupiter's.

The curiosity makes you wonder about the science behind this spatial environment. This potato-shaped moon is the third closest to Jupiteriter and takes about 12 hours to complete one orbit.

So, it seems to make sense that any piece of time Apple's animator chooses for this month is not a bad representation. Of course, this is all just for fun as an environment, so you shouldn't think too much about it.

The only complaint is about this incredible environment is that Jupiter is in the middle, right where my windows will open. Users have to move this neighborhood to the right in order to easily see the planet.

Apple will release the public version ofvisionOS 26 on September 15. This update brings spatical widgets among other useful features and will be installed automatically.
