Apple Introduces Apple Watch Ultra 3 With Sophisticated Satellite Features

JAKARTA - Apart from the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple also introduced the most advanced Apple Watch Ultra 3 which brings advanced health, fitness, safety and connectivity features.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 is equipped with a built-in satellite communication feature, which allows users to send text messages to emergency services, to friends or family, and share their location while outside the network.

"Apple Watch Ultra is our most advanced Apple Watch, designed to bring users from sport and adventure throughout their lives, and help them stay active, healthy, connected, and secure, wherever they are," said Eugene Kim, Apple Watch's VP of Hardware Engineering.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 comes with the biggest screen ever in the Apple Watch lineup, thanks to LTPO3 and wide-angle OLED technology that allows the display to always be active with 1Hz always on.

Resilience is also increasing, able to last up to 42 hours in daily use, 72 hours in Low Power Mode, and 20 hours for outdoor sports with complete GPS. Fast charging 15 minutes is even enough to provide up to 12 hours of energy.

In terms of connectivity, this smartwatch supports 5G cellular networks with multiple antenna systems for stronger signals, and is equipped with built-in satellite communication that allows users to send and receive messages, share locations via Find My, to enable Emergency SOS, all free for the first two years.

This Apple Watch Ultra 3 satellite signal allows communication with satellites up to 800 miles above Earth and which is moving at a speed of 15,000 mph.

In the health sector, Apple added a hypertension notification feature that can detect chronic high blood pressure signatures by analyzing passive heart data, as well as sleeping score features to provide a more detailed picture of sleep quality.

A hypertension notification permit from the FDA and other regulators is expected to be obtained soon, and this feature will be available in more than 150 countries and regions including the US and the European Union this month.

Hypertension notifications will be available on the Apple Watch Series 9 and newer versions, as well as the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and a newer version, with watchOS 26.

All of these innovations complement the various existing fitness and sports features, making Apple Watch Ultra 3 the most complete wearable device for active and adventurous users.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 can be ordered in advance today, with availability starting Friday, September 19.
