Google Investigates Problem That Causes Galaxy Watch 8 to Not Work

JAKARTA – After experiencing connection issues with the Pixel 9 series, the Samsung Galaxy Watch is also known to be having issues with the Pixel 10 series. Google has acknowledged the issue and is investigating the issue.

This issue first surfaced on Google's official support forum. One user reported that their Pixel 10 Pro couldn't connect to their Galaxy Watch 8. More than 260 other users reported the same issue.

These users stated that after confirming the pairing code on both devices, the pairing always failed or was problematic. This issue does not appear to be caused by a pending software update.

This issue was also confirmed by 9to5google, which experienced a similar issue. Even after multiple attempts, the pairing process never completed and had to be repeated. Sometimes, the Pixel 10 even refused to provide the pairing code.

According to user reports, the pairing process often stops at 84 percent and cannot be continued. This suggests that Google has failed to address the issue, even though this connection failure has been occurring since the Pixel 9 series.

Google has responded to complaints on forums. The company stated that it is investigating the issue specifically on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. However, it is believed that other Pixel 10 models are also being addressed.

Similar reports have also appeared on Samsung forums and Reddit, indicating that this issue is widespread and affecting many Galaxy Watch 8 and Pixel 10 users. For now, some Galaxy Watch 8s are simply being used as display cases due to their malfunctioning performance.
