Tokocrypto: Crypto Adoption In Indonesia Continues To Grow, Long-Term Prospects Bright

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) noted that the number of consumers of crypto assets in Indonesia as of July 2025 reached 16.5 million consumers, an increase of 4.11 percent compared to June 2025 which was at 15.85 million.

In terms of transaction value, as of July 2025, it was recorded at IDR 52.46 trillion, a 62.36 percent jump compared to June which recorded IDR 32.31 trillion.

Cumulatively, the total value of crypto transactions throughout 2025 has reached IDR 276.45 trillion.

Tokocrypto CEO, Calvin Kizana, sees the trend of growing number of investors and the value of crypto transactions in Indonesia as a positive signal.

This is because, according to Calvin, this shows that public interest in digital assets continues to increase, even though the market is facing short-term pressure.

In addition, Calvin added, clearer regulatory support, increasing digital financial literacy, as well as product innovations relevant to retail and institutional investors will be the main catalyst for industrial growth in the future.

"In the long term, we believe the adoption of crypto assets in Indonesia will continue to increase and make a real contribution to the development of the national digital economy," Calvin explained in a statement quoted Friday, September 5.

Although crypto assets continue to face uncertainty amid global socio-political dynamics, Calvin sees the long-term prospects of the crypto industry in Indonesia remain bright.

With a combination of public interest, regulatory commitment, and innovation from industry players, the Indonesian crypto market is expected to be able to rise from the uncertainty phase.

"The optimism of the domestic situation will be more stable as the basis for the next growth, so that the digital asset industry can continue to contribute to the development of the national digital economy," he said.
