Toyota officially collaborated with Avalanche, in launching the Mobility Orchestra Network (MON), a blockchain-based robotaxi platform designed to manage autonomous vehicle fleets in a transparent and efficient manner.

This collaboration is a collaboration between Toyota Blockchain Lab and Ava Labs, developer company Avalanche. The MON project is targeted to be fully operational by 2024'2025.

Built on Avalanche and Interchain Messaging (ICM) multichain infrastructure, MON aims to share secure data for vehicle financing, travel sharing, insurance and carbon credit tracking, while simplifying ownership transfers for the secondary market.

"Payment, rent, you can actually start your own robotaxi service by raising onchain funds, with some kind of security token system," Roi Hirata was quoted as saying by Cointelegraph.

So, Hirata added, investors will be able to raise funds and track their robotaxi through blockchain, meaning all business models can be built onchain from scratch.

In its official blog, as Indonesia's leading crypto asset exchange platform, Indodax sees MON as not only a big step for Toyota, but also a positive signal for the Avalanche ecosystem.

By connecting the automotive and blockchain sectors, this project can trigger new liquidity flows in the DeFi Avalanche ecosystem and encourage real-world asset tokenization (RWA) growth.
