SellCell Survey: 68.3 Percent Of IPhone Users In The US Interested In Buying IPhone 17 Series

JAKARTA A survey revealed that nearly seven out of ten iPhone owners in the US plan to buy an iPhone 17 model. This shows a high public interest in Apple's latest phones.

The survey was created by SellCell, a smartphone price comparison platform, against more than 2,000 iPhone users in the US. As a result, 68.3 percent of respondents expressed interest in buying the iPhone 17 series. This figure increased from last year's iPhone launch.

At that time, survey results showed the interest of the US public in the iPhone 16 series by around 61.9 percent. From the series of phones Apple will release in September, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are predicted to be the most popular choices.

Both are expected to contribute 38.1 percent of the purchase plan. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 is an option for 16.7 percent of respondents. Interestingly, 13.5 percent of respondents showed interest in the iPhone 17 Air with an ultra-thin design.

The main factor that encourages users to buy new iPhones is battery life. 53 percent of respondents mentioned this as the main reason. In addition, the design and new features are also important considerations for 36.2 percent of users.

However, prices remain a major obstacle. There was 68.9 percent of users who stated that they would not upgrade what they were using due to cost issues. In addition, 71.7 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with their current iPhone.

Regarding the Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature, 44 percent of iPhone users consider Apple Intelligence a very important feature. This suggests that the US public believes that Apple will offer a much more advanced AI feature.
