JAKARTA Anthropic updated Consumer Provisions and Privacy Policy for Claude users. Through this update, users can choose to donate their data or not.

This new policy applies to users of Claude Free, Pro, and Max packages, includinggget Code users with the package. However, this update does not apply to commercial services such as Claude for Work, Claude Gov, or the use of API through third parties.

Anthropic stated that users can assist companies in improving the security of Claude's model by participating in this latest policy. The data donated will make the malicious content detection system more accurate.

"You will also help Claude's models in the future improve skills such as coding, analysis, and reasoning, which ultimately produce better models for all users," Anthropic said, quoted on Tuesday, September 2.
