IPhone 17 Pro: New Design, Camera More Fierce, And Jumbo Battery, Ready To Be Apple's Best IPhone

JAKARTA Apple fans can get ready. The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are predicted to bring big changes this year, from new designs, new colors, to performance improvements and cameras that make gamers and photographers smile.

Apple has announced its launch event on September 9, 2025. If it follows the pattern of previous years, pre-orders are likely to open on September 12 and shop sales start September 19.

The iPhone 17 Pro will appear in fresh design: a wide camera bump similar to Google Pixel and different materials. Apple reportedly left titanium and returned to using aluminum with two colors (aluminum + glass), making it look more stylish.

The screen dimensions remain 6.3 inches (Pro) and 6.9 inches (Pro Max) with a 120Hz ProMotion panel. However, the body is slightly thicker, from 8.25mm to 8.75mm likely to accommodate larger batteries and new cooling components.

Color is also even more interesting. Leaks say there are new color options: copper/oranges that complete black, silver, gray, and dark blue.

The kitchen will be powered by the A19 Pro chip with a 3nm fabrication (N3P) process from TSMC, accompanied by 12GB RAM up from 8GB in the previous series. Apple is also said to have added a vapor chamber cooling system to keep performance stable, especially during heavy gaming.

Pro Max batteries are reportedly the largest in iPhone history: 5,000 mAh. Charging is even faster, with MagSafe 2.2 and wireless charging 25W, as well as cable charging around 30W. There are rumors of reverse wireless charging for AirPods and small accessories, although not confirmed yet.

For photographers, this is the most interesting part. The iPhone 17 Pro will bring:

A 48MP telephoto camera with a 3.5x zoom lens (focus on a sharper portrait)

Wide cameras with aperture that can be arranged give creative control when photographing

Apple is also expected to bring 8K video recordings and recording features from the front & rear cameras simultaneously.

The iPhone 17 Pro is estimated to still use Qualcomm modem with 5G mmWave support. For Wi-Fi, Apple is likely to embed Wi-Fi 7 modems for faster and more stable connections. Bluetooth 5.3 is also present for connections to headphones and Apple Watches.

The news is not good: the price could increase by around USD 50 (8:000). This means that the iPhone 17 Pro is estimated to start from 1,049 US dollars (e.g. Rp. 17 million) and Pro Max at USD 1,249.

However, there is good news that the initial storage capacity is likely to double to 256GB, with new options up to 2TB for those who like to store 8K photos and videos.

With a combination of new designs, jumbo batteries, and increasingly sophisticated cameras, the iPhone 17 Pro looks like it will be an upgrade that is difficult to turn down for both old and novice iPhone users who want to enter Apple's ecosystem.
