Asus Opens Android 16 Beta Program For A Number Of Devices

JAKARTA - Asus has finally officially opened access to the Android 16 beta program after a long wait. This trial program started in early August 2025 with Zenfone 12 Ultra as the first device to get the chance.

Now, the list of devices that can participate in this program is increasing. Until now, only three devices have been confirmed to be able to taste Android 16 early through the beta program, namely:

Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra

Asus ROG Phone 9

Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro

There is no official information yet whether Asus will expand this program to more devices. However, Asus promised to update the list if any other models participated.

How to Register Android 16 Beta in Asus Pengguna whose device is included in the list can directly register through the settings menu. How to:

Open the Settings application.

Select System, then tap System update.

Press the gear icon at the top right.

Select Enroll in Android preview program.

Agree to terms and conditions, fill in the application, then press Submit.

If registration is accepted, Asus will send confirmation via email. After that, users can wait for the beta update to enter the device or check it manually via System update.

Important Notes For Beta Participants

Asus warns that beta is usually still full of bugs, imperfect features, and can cause an unstable usage experience. Therefore, it is recommended to install Android 16 beta on secondary devices instead of the main phone.

In addition, users are required to backup important data because there may be data loss. It should be noted, after installing Android 16 beta, there is no way to go back to Android 15. This program will end when the stable version of Android 16 is officially released.

Asus also emphasized that this program is confidential, so participants are asked not to share public information about the preview software. For bug reporting or questions, Asus provides a special forum that is only accessible to beta participants.
