AirPods, which has become an icon, with the addition of sensors or cameras, can transform into health devices and AI whose function exceeds just listening to music.

Rumors circulated that Apple had more plans for wearable products beyond Vision Pro. Reportedly, the company is working on a more affordable Vision Pro version and a more compact pair of smart glasses. However, what is the next step after Apple launches its smart glasses? As it turns out, they may be re-developing existing products: AirPods.

In a post on X, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg shared his views on Apple's plans after smart glasses. His post states, "The bigger thing for AirPods is the future model with the camera. Apple views this as their core AI wearable, especially for those who don't want to wear glasses."

As some comments show, this idea makes a lot of sense. Despite being a joke at the first time it was launched, Apple's AirPods has become a very common technology accessory. If you see someone walking with a white wireless earbud in your ear, it's most likely AirPods. This product has become an icon in its own way.

Gurman's observation is also appropriate. People who are not used to wearing glasses may not feel necessary or want to wear glasses, even though they are smart glasses. However, earbud? Almost everyone likes earbuds. Unfortunately, the analyst did not mention how this built-in camera will work or what features might be opened.
