JAKARTA Google has updated language support for the Video Overview feature on NotebookLM. The Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning platform now supports more than 80 languages.

With this additional language support, users can produce videos from their learning materials with the desired language. Users can create Video Overview in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and even Indonesian.

This is the support that many users expect because previously this feature was only available in English. Now, students in various parts of the world will be more helped when changing their records, PDFs, or images into a video presentation.

"Video Overview provides a concise and easy to understand video in the language of your choice," Google said in its announcement, quoted on Tuesday, August 26. "This feature was rolled out to more than 80 new languages."

In addition, Google is also increasing the ability of Audio Overview for non-English users. Previously, users outside the US only got a brief audio summary, but now it's no longer.

Users can already get a more in-depth summary in more than 80 languages. Although Google is now offering a more detailed summary, options for shorter summarys still exist.

This update provides flexibility for users who only need important points. That way, users can choose the format according to their needs. Both of these features are still in the launch stage and are expected to end in a week.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
