JAKARTA Following in the footsteps of OpenAI, Anthropic submitted an offer for Claude at a very low price to the US government. The company gave the government a price of 1 US dollar (Rp. 16 thousand).
This offer was submitted so that Anthropic could win a federal contract. However, it did not explain in detail whether this 1 US dollar applies to a period of one month or a year.
According to Anthropic, this offer will help the government access secure platforms. Anthropic leaders also believe that their Artificial Intelligence (AI) model can encourage digital advances in government agencies.
"AI leadership in America requires our government agency to have access to the most capable and secure AI devices available," said Anthropic CEO Dario Amodoi, quoted by VOI via Reuters.

In early August, OpenAI also made a similar offer to the US Public Service Agency (GSA). In the offer, the US government can access ChatGPT Enterprise for one year at a price of 1 US dollar.
At this very affordable price, OpenAI wants to support the US President Donald Trump's administration's plan to provide sophisticated tools. OpenAI also believes that the provision of ChatGPT can help simplify the bureaucratic process.
OpenAI and Anthropic's offer comes after GSA added the two companies and Google to the approved AI vendor list. Through this addition, the three companies can offer their services to the government.
