Pearson And Google Establish Partnerships Present AI-Based Learning Tools In Schools

JAKARTA The British education company, Pearson, announced a long-term collaboration with Alphabet's cloud service, Google Cloud, to bring artificial intelligence-based learning tools (AI) to classrooms at the basic and secondary levels of education.

In his official statement on Thursday, June 26, Pearson said that this partnership will focus on developing personalized learning tools by utilizing Google's advanced AI technology. This technology is designed to adapt to the speed and learning needs of each student, as well as provide convenience for teachers in monitoring developments and adjusting teaching materials.

Pearson CEO Omar Abbosh said that AI has great potential to revolutionize the education system by replacing uniform teaching methods into a more personal learning pathway and adapted to individual student characters.

"AI will allow education systems that no longer rely on one method for all, but rather on approaches that suit each student's unique needs," he said.

This partnership with Google is not Pearson's only step in developing AI-based learning. The company has also signed long-term cooperation with cloud services from Microsoft and Amazon, as part of their major strategy of expanding access to digital education tools and more personal learning.

This effort reflects Pearson's new direction of increasingly focusing on digitizing education and utilizing cutting-edge technology to support a more adaptive, inclusive, and effective learning world.
