JAKARTA Google added a new capability on Drive. Supported by Gemini, users can now use the Catch Me Up feature to find out the latest information from the files they upload.

Starting June 3, 2025, Gemini can identify various files in the user's Google Drive, including changes added to the file. Users can use these features to summarize various changes.

"This includes file editing in Documents and file comments in Documents, Spreadsheets, and Slides. While this list is not meant to be complete, it aims to highlight changes that may be useful and important," Google explained.

This feature is only available in English. Google has not disclosed whether they will present support for other languages. This feature is still rolling out in stages so you may not see its features yet.

To use Catch Me Up, users can open the Google Drive homepage and they will see the buttons at the top. If the button is tapped, the user will see the response displayed on the side panel.

Please note that Gemini can be accessed on Google Drive if you subscribe. This means that the Catch Me Up feature is not available for free users. Only users who subscribe to Google Woorkspace or Google One AI Premium can access this feature.

"We are excited to introduce Catch me up, a new feature that helps users easily find out the latest information about their files," Google said.
