Tenable Holdings, announced its intention to acquire Apex Security, a start-up company supported by Sam Altman (OpenAI) and Clem Delangue (Hugging Face) focused on the security of AI attacks.
"AI dramatically expands the surface of attacks, introducing dynamic and fast-moving risks that not many organizations are ready to deal with," said Steve Vintz, Co-CEO, and CFO Tenable, in an announcement on its official website.
Once the acquisition is complete, Tenable believes this move will strengthen its capabilities in helping organizations identify and reduce cyber risks in the world created by artificial intelligence (AI).
Tenable strategy is always to stay one step ahead in the surface expansion of the attack not only managing exposure, but also removing it before it can be exploited, Vintz added.
In 2024, Tenable has launched Tenable AI Aware, a solution that has helped thousands of organizations detect and evaluate the use of AI across their environment.
The Apex Security acquisition will expand the foundation, adding the ability to regulate the use, enforce policies, and control exposure to both the AIs they build.
"We are excited to join Tenable to help customers manage AI risks," concluded Matan Derman, CEO and Co-Founder of Apex Security.
