JAKARTA The launch of Motorola Razr doesn't seem to be going well. The foldable device, which was just released on May 15, 2025, should have started selling, but Motorola delayed its sales.

Reporting from 9to5google, Motorola said it was temporarily pulling its device from Verizon and other mobile service providers. However, this device will certainly be available again on May 22, 2025 on various purchase platforms.

"The schedule for the availability of a new Motorola Razr at Verizon has been adjusted to ensure the best launch experience for customers. This product will be available on Verizon, Straight Talk, Total Wireless, and Vision on May 22," Motorola said, quoted on Tuesday, May 20.

Before this delay was confirmed, Motorola Razr was available on several cellular service providers, such as Operator and MVP. However, this event was removed from the two platforms shortly after the device was introduced.

For Verizon, the service provider has never included the Razr model since its device was first released. Even though Motorola has made a statement, wild rumors are still circulating on social media, especially on platforms like Reddit.

Some users reported that their device's pre-order was canceled in Total Wireless. In fact, customers are asked to return the device to the sender. There are also those who state the 'fire danger' of the device.

Employees claiming from Verizon also claimed that the device was pulled from the storefront and was being quarantined, leading some customers to believe that there was a risk of fire. However, this statement seems unlikely.

The reason is, Verizon will add Motorola Razr 2025 to its website on May 22, 2025. If there are such dangerous risks, Verizon and Motorola will be harmed because they continue to provide their devices in the storefront.
