JAKARTA HP officially launched their newest AI laptop, OmniBook 5, at the 2025 Computex which was held in Taipei, this week. This laptop comes in two size variants, 14 inches and 16 inches, and is powered by Qualcomm's efficient Snapdragon X and X Plus processors. With battery life up to 34 hours, HP claims that OmniBook 5 is the world's longest-serving consumer AI laptop.
HP utilizes a power-efficient Snapdragon X processor to deliver high performance with low power consumption. Both use a 1.920 x 1,200 pixel resolution screen and run Windows 11 Home. The HP will start selling 14-inch variants in the US starting July at an initial price of 799 US dollars (Rp 13 million), while the 16-inch version will be priced starting at 849 US dollars (Rp 13.9 million).
OmniBook 5 is part of the Copilot+ PC HP line which is full of artificial intelligence features. This laptop supports AI features such as Recall, Click-to-Do, Ccreator in Paint, as well as smarter Windows searches. In addition, there is also a Companion AI cellphone, an internal AI tool that can analyze documents and optimize laptop performance directly without a cloud connection.
This laptop is equipped with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) of 45 TOPS, making it reliable in carrying out various AI tasks efficiently. OmniBook 5 also has a special button to access Microsoft Copilot, Windows-based AI assistant.
