JAKARTA - A Polish company, Volonaut, has just uncovered a revolutionary vehicle called Airbike a futuristic hoverbike inspired by the speeder bike in the Star Wars film. Uniquely, this flying motor does not use propellers to fly and is claimed to be the first in the world with this kind of technology.

In a demonstration video released by the company, Airbike is seen floating smoothly in the air with a motorist who even waved to the camera showing the stability and ease of control of this vehicle.

Airbike was developed by Tomasz Patan, an inventor from Poland and founder of Volonaut. He called his vehicle a superbike for the sky' that uses propulsion jet technology (jet drive) to be able to float and drive up to speeds of 200 km/hour (124 mph).

"This innovative design is inspired by the speeder bike in popular science fiction films," wrote Volonaut.

Without Baling-Baling, Can Still Fly Stable

Unlike other private vehicles that rely on rotors or propellers, Airbike uses a special stabilization system and flight computers to maintain its floating position automatically and facilitate control.

May the 4th be with You! The Imperial scout Trooper was planning to make a nice video review of his new Volonaut Airbike speeder bike when suddenly he was interrupted by a band of Ewoks making fun of him in a distance - what better opportunity to test his new ride - he thought! pic.twitter.com/FupvlwmcKU

Although technical details have not been fully disclosed, Volonaut said that Airbike has just come out of its secret development phase, and the prototype has successfully made its first stable flight in Poland in May 2023.

The current version is the result of months of hard work, technical challenges that have been overcome, and a number of failures, the company said.

Lighter Than Motorbikes, Friendly For Users

Volonauts also claim that Airbike is seven times lighter than regular motorcycles because it uses carbon fiber material. This vehicle is designed to provide a comfortable flying experience, as if the rider is share' with the engine.

However, there is no official information regarding the price or mass production schedule of Airbike.

Social media users were amazed. An Instagram user wrote, 'The future is here! This is the best personal flying vehicle I've ever seen!' Another comment reads, Generations that grow up with Star Wars are waiting for you, my friend. Please speed up, we're getting older but still want to fly.

Jet Technology And Inspiration From Star Wars

In the fictional world of Star Wars, vehicles such as speeder bikes and X-34 Landspeeders are used to travel at high speeds above ground level, using an imaginary technology called a repulsive anti-gravity system that allows vehicles to float several centimeters to meters above ground.

Volonaut seemed to bring the imagination to reality with its Airbike, which uses real jets instead of fictional technology.

Although it is not equivalent to a speeder bike in films that can go up to 480 km/hour, Airbike's achievement still marks a big step towards the future of private air transportation.
