Motorola Solutions Launches SVX Devices And AI Assistants To Accelerate Emergency Response

JAKARTA - Motorola Solutions on Monday 21 April, officially launched SVX, a state-of-the-art device that combines remote speaker microphones, body cameras, and an AI assistant named Assist. The innovation was designed to help emergency workers such as police and firefighters in responding to the situation more quickly and efficiently.

The launch is part of Motorola Solutions' efforts to strengthen its position in the public service market, where more than 60% of 911 calls in the United States are currently being processed through the company's software system.

Motorola Solutions Chief Technology Officer, Maesh Saptharishi, said that SVX was developed in close collaboration with 32 law enforcement agencies, involving 150 active users who provided direct input during the testing process.

"We built this device together with those who are really on the pitch. Their input is very important in perfecting SVX features," Saptharishi was quoted as saying by VOI from Reuters.

SVX's Sophisticated Features

SVX is designed to integrate directly with Motorola's APX NEXT radio, as well as other existing systems on the Motorola network. With the support of AI Assist assistants, this device is capable of:

- Identify vehicle number plates and SIM automatically.

- Provide instant data access to officers in the field.

- Reduced reporting writing time, which currently spends more than 40% of patrol duty time just to enter basic data.

With the efficiency offered, SVX is expected to accelerate the decision-making process in crisis situations and increase the security of officers in the field.

Responding to global challenges related to supply chains and export-import rates, Saptharishi said that Motorola has an adaptive strategy to minimize production disruption.

Our supply chain is very dynamic. We have production facilities in the US, Mexico, Canada and Malaysia. We always optimize production lines according to global needs and applicable regulations," he explained.
