JAKARTA Google Cloud Next has been held again this year since April 9 last year. Through this annual event, Google shares various new technology information, ranging from the most advanced chips to an increase in AI models.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, in Keynote Session, explained a number of important innovations and transformations that have been successfully developed in the past year. One of them is Ironwood, the seventh generation Tensor Processing Unit (TPU).

This integrated circuit is promised to be available by the end of this year with better capabilities than ever. Ironwood will offer five times more computing capacity and a six times larger high bandwidth memory capacity.

Thomas also explained about Lyria, the latest text-to-music model added to Vertex AI. This addition makes Google Cloud the only platform that provides a generating media model for videos, images, sounds and music.

Google Cloud is also showing off a variety of new tools to build more useful agents, including Agent Development Kit (ADK). In addition, Agent2Agent (A2A) now provides a new open protocol that can provide agent with general language skills.
