JAKARTA - Apple is still facing the impact of last week's news about delaying its most anticipated Apple Intelligence feature for Siri. After previously pulling a YouTube ad featuring a personal context feature on the iPhone 16, the Cupertino company is now updating its official website with a new disclaimer regarding Siri's unreleased feature.
Siri's new feature, which is supposed to be present on the iPhone 16, allows users to easily find information from conversations with friends and family, such as the flight number mentioned or book recommendations. In addition, the oncreen awareness feature allows users to immediately take action in the application being used, for example by asking Siri to "edit this image to be more striking" when viewing photos in the Photos application.
However, after rumors emerged that the development of these features had problems, Apple officially confirmed the delay in a statement released Friday, March 8. In its official statement, Apple said, "We need longer than expected to present these features and we hope to release them in the coming year."

Now, Apple has added a new message on its official website to explain the status of these features. This message reads:
"The understanding of Siri's personal context, screen awareness, and in-app actions is under development and will be available through future software updates."
This message was found in various product pages, including the iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPad, and others. Previously, these features were advertised without a note or sign that the feature was not yet available.
Apple does not provide a specific period of time regarding when this feature will be available. However, it is likely that this postponed Siri feature will be released via an iOS 19 update.
The first beta version of iOS 19 is scheduled to be introduced at the WWDC 2025 event in June. However, if this feature is included in the further iOS 19 update, then the launch could occur anytime between fall 2025 and summer 2026. In other words, users should not expect this feature to come soon.
