Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Leaked! Thiner Design, Bigger Screen, And 200MP Camera!

JAKARTA - Samsung is again in the spotlight with the latest leaks regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is expected to be announced in July 2025. Based on information from OnLeaks, this latest folding smartphone brings a number of significant changes compared to its predecessor.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will come with a thickness of 4.5mm when opened and 9.5mm when folded (including the camera bulge). This makes it 1.1mm thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and 0.4mm thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE.

However, despite the thickness shrinkage, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has not become the thinst foldable phone in the market. Currently, the title is still held by OPPO Find N5 (4.2mm) and HONOR Magic V3 (4.4mm).

The overall dimension of the device is estimated to be 158.4 x 143.1 x 4.5mm, making the front screen wider and more comfortable to use than the previous generation.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which is also used in the Galaxy S25 series. However, it is possible that Samsung chose the 7-core variant as the OPPO used on Find N5 to increase thermal efficiency.

Unfortunately, the battery capacity is still 4,400mAh, the same as the last few generations. Even so, Samsung promises an increase in power efficiency, similar to the increase seen in the Galaxy S25 series.

Camera 200MP Becomes Mainstay!

The biggest increase was in the main camera sector, which now uses a 200MP sensor, following the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE's limited release in Korea.

Samsung usually launches its foldable phone earlier each year. However, as the Galaxy S25 series is released later than usual, it is possible that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will also experience a slight delay. The launch is expected to continue in mid-July 2025.
