JAKARTA - Amazon announced that starting August 20, 2025, Amazon Appstore will no longer be available on Android devices. The company will also stop Amazon Coins' program, starting February 20, 2025.
Even so, Amazon insists that even if this service is terminated on Android devices, Amazon Appstore can still be accessed on Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices.
For users who still have Amazon Coins or Amazon Coins, they have until August 20, 2025 to use them before refunds are given to the remaining balances.
Amazon Coins can be used for application purchases and in-app transactions on Amazon Appstore. For users who still have Amazon Coins balances after the service termination date, Amazon will return funds for unused coins.
Further details regarding the refund process will be announced later. However, users are advised to immediately adjust the use of the service before this policy takes effect officially.
