JAKARTA Some Spotify users may think that the platform's subscription plans are quite expensive. However, the increase in Premium prices last year did not seem to make Spotify satisfied.

The music streaming platform plans to deliver the latest subscription plans. According to sources familiar with the plan, citing from Bloomberg, Spotify will offer a more expensive Music Pro package than the current Premium package.

In fact, the cost of IDR 54,990 is quite expensive for a number of users. It is not yet known how much it costs to pay for the Music Pro package because Spotify is still preparing the details, starting from the price to the launch schedule of the package.

Reportedly, this more expensive package will offer an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered feature, a music remix. Users can mix songs they like from various artists, but it's still unclear what the concept looks like.

In addition, Spotify will also add higher-quality audio. These two features will not be enough to attract subscribed users. Therefore, Spotify plans to bring the ability to buy concert tickets in the Music Pro package.

The platform also wants to bring a number of advantages such as pre-sales of tickets. Although the release schedule is not yet known, this feature will be launched in stages and prices will vary across countries if Spotify plans to launch globally.

Music Pro isn't the only additional package Spotify will launch. Since 2021, the Apple Music competitor revealed that they want to launch a special package with very high-quality audio dubbed Spotify HiFi.

This package is not available even though launch rumors continue to appear every year. Just like the Music Pro, Spotify HiFi is believed to be sold at a high price due to its sound quality, but it is not certain whether it will be more expensive than the Music Pro.
