JAKARTA Gemini Advanced is a subscription package for Google's Artificial Intelligence (AI) model with a number of additional features. One of the features is file uploads in the form of documents.

Free users are only allowed to upload photos via camera or gallery. If they want to ask specific topics from a document or ask Gemini to summarize files, they must subscribe to the Google One Premium AI package or Gemini add-on.

Fortunately, this restriction will change in the near future. A number of Reddit users, citing the Android Authority report, said that the document upload option was available to users free of charge. Files can be uploaded from Drive or an internal folder.

This is good news for users who don't want to spend Rp. 309 thousand per month just to upload files. There are seven types of files that can be uploaded to Gemini, here's the list.

Although allowed to upload files, Gemini users will be given a quota limit every day, in contrast to Gemini Advanced users who are not restricted. Once the feature appears, users will know how much their daily quota is.

Reportedly, if you have exceeded the limit, you will have to wait until the quota is updated within a few hours. This feature is being launched in stages so you may not see the feature yet. Make sure to check Gemini's updates regularly.
