AltStore Presents First Pornography Application On EU IOS

JAKARTA App Store is not the only application store available on iOS for the people of the European Union. Thanks to the European Commission's policy, there are other app stores that can be accessed, one of which is AltStore PAL.

Apple only has a little control over alternative app stores on iOS. They can only monitor malware or other hazards and are not entitled to regulate the content. As a result, AltStore managed to present the first pornographic application on iOS.

This application, named Hot Tub, offers nudity content, such as pornographic applications in general. Hot Tub users are promised a safe and personal exposure to adult content, avoiding any advertising models, and being free from tracking systems.

"Elegant original pornographic applications. Carefully designed, ethically made, and free to use," wrote the developer Hot Tub in the description of the app. Quoting from TechCrunch, this application is integrated with popular pornography websites.

Users can search for and play videos from the website they want, for example Pornhub or Xvideos. The app hasn't been widely released because it's still in the beta testing phase, but the European Commission hasn't taken any action yet.

The European Union has clear rules on sexual and pornographic material so applications like Hot Tub should not be freely circulated in app stores. If the European Commission does not issue any statements, EU residents can download their apps freely and Apple cannot hold them back.

Apple had stated that they did not agree with Hot Tub's presence. In addition to harming the application ecosystem on iOS as a whole, this application is claimed to be worrying because it can threaten the privacy security of its users.

Apple has filed a complaint with the European Commission, but the company still has to wait for a response. Hot Tub is something new because usually pornographic content can only be accessed in the form of a website, not an app.

The availability of Hot Tub on the web will not worry Apple because only those who know the presence of its website can visit. However, if in the form of an application, anyone can download it freely, especially since this application is free.
