JAKARTA Samsung announced a new partnership that makes its electronic devices more sophisticated. The company decided to cooperate with Instacart, an online shopping service.

Through this multi-year partnership, Samsung will integrate food recognition technology, namely AI Vision Inside, together with API to match Instacart's products. This combination of technology will be added to the Samsung Bespoke refrigerator screen.

This partnership is expected to facilitate the shopping experience. When foods that are usually in empty refrigerators, AI Vision Inside will notify users. After that, users can directly shop using Instacart.

This technology will begin to be added to Bespoke refrigerators with various types of screens released in 2025, including the latest 32-inch AI Family Hub and 9-inch AI Home. That way, users can shop comfortably, easily, and safely.

Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the Consumer Experience Team for the Digital Equipment Business (DA) at Samsung Electronics, said the company had been trying hard to deliver this unusual technology.

"Samsung's main technology combination and Instacart's online grocery shopping platform will be a great example of how partnerships can create new levels of comfort," said Seung Moon.

Instacart's experience will also be extended to a number of AI Family Hub + units equipped with AI Vision Inside. This feature will be released via an online firmware update (OTN) during 2025.
