JAKARTA Android Auto, Android-based software for auto screens, updated the display of music players in version 13.4. This version has only been expanded in the past week to several car screens.

Citing from the 9to5google report, this latest music player display is seen across Android Auto-backed music streaming apps, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other apps.

These changes include reshuffling the icon layout so users have to re-studied the layout in each music application. If not studied, users may find it difficult to tune the music while on the way.

In version 13.4, the album's display will be placed on the left side and the room next to it will be empty. This vacant part will be filled by the title song, artist or song owner, and the track's progress bar with additional time captions.

Not only has the layout changed, the text display has also changed. In this software update, Google deliberately made the text smaller to adjust the album cover size.

Inversely proportional to the text displayed, the buttons are made bigger to adjust the screen width. However, there is no change in the buttons because Google still displays a stopping icon, continued, before, and other icons.

This change is not yet available in all cars with Android Auto screens. It is not certain when this change will be released widely. For now, users can only wait for the changes.
