JAKARTA Sandisk, digital storage devices, changed the company's branding by updating its logo. For almost 30 years, the logo used is SanDisk, but this logo will change.
The American company said it would change its product logo with capital letters to SANDISK. This change is based on Mindset in Motion's principle which indicates that the company will stand again independently.
This logo change is indeed related to the separation of the Sandisk from its parent company, namely Western Digital. The Sandisk has been acquired by Western Digital since 2016, but the parent company has been involved in various controversies involving devices.
One of the most widely discussed controversies is the portable SanDisk Extreme SSD which is thought to be able to wrongly delete user data. This data storage device is quite expensive and popular so that the problems on the device make users disappointed.

It is not yet certain whether this controversy is the reason for the separation of the Sandisk from Western Digital. However, the company wants to state that the logo change will reunite human aspirations and advance future growth.
"We deliberately created this logo to realize the spirit of this thought. Our visual brand philosophy is inspired by the future and the various ways our customers use data," said Joel Davis, Vice President of Creative Sandisk, in a statement received by VOI.
Joel added that the latest Sandisk logo was inspired by one Pixel. This logo uses a 'brave visual language' rooted in the idea of progress and development. Although revealed before the turn of the year, this re-branding will be done early next year.
