The Majority Of IPhone Users Don't See Any More Value On Apple Intelligence Features

JAKARTA A new survey shows that although the Apple Intelligence feature is a factor considered when buying an iPhone, the majority of users feel that the initial features offered do not provide significant value. With the launch of Genmoji and the integration of ChatGPT on iOS 18.2, there is hope that this view will change.

A survey conducted by technology buying and selling site SellCell revealed that artificial intelligence is an important factor for smartphone buyers.

A total of 47.6% of iPhone users call the AI feature a "very" or "sufficient" aspect important in choosing new phones. This figure is much higher than the 23.7% of Samsung users who have similar views.

Despite interest in AI, the majority of iPhone users feel that the current Apple Intelligence feature has not provided meaningful value.

As many as 73% of users of Apple Intelligence and 87% of Galaxy AI users stated that this new feature was "not too valuable" or "only gave a little so there was no value" in their experience using smartphones.

SellCell also revealed the level of popularity of various Apple Intelligence features before the launch of iOS 18.2:

This survey was conducted before iOS 18.2 was launched, which introduced the Genmoji feature and ChatGPT integration.

Genmoji allows users to create new emojis using a simple description. By opening the emoji keyboard on the iPhone that already runs iOS 18.2, users will see a glowing smiley face icon in the upper right corner. After tapping the icon, users only need to describe the emoji they want to create.

Meanwhile, the integration of ChatGPT allows Siri to refer directly to ChatGPT by starting Siri's command with 'Ask ChatGPT.'

With this update, Apple hopes that new features can increase AI's value and appeal for iPhone users.
