Note! These Three IPhones Will Lose WhatsApp Support

JAKARTA WhatsApp, a popular messaging platform under Meta, continues to gain new features. In fact, this platform continues to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features thanks to Meta AI.

With so many advanced features that WhatsApp presents, this platform is increasingly difficult to operate on old-school devices. Therefore, WhatsApp is preparing an update that will officially stop application support on several devices.

A device that will definitely lose WhatsApp support is iPhone. In the WhatsApp beta update for the iOS version, citing from WABetaInfo, there are three iPhone models that have received special warnings from the platform.

WhatsApp mengungkapkan bahwa mereka akan berhenti mendukung perangkat buatan Apple yang menjalankan iOS 15.1 atau yang lebih lama, berbeda dengan aturan sekarang yang mengizinkan iOS 12 ke atas. Aturan ini akan mulai berlaku pada Mei tahun depan.

"Update (applications) to the latest iOS version to continue using WhatsApp. WhatsApp will stop supporting this iOS version after May 5, 2025. Please go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update to get the latest iOS version," reads the warning message from WhatsApp.

Unfortunately, there are some iPhones that cannot update their device systems to the iOS 16 version or later. There are three models recorded so far, namely the iPhone 5s, the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6 Plus.

If you are still using these three devices, there is no other choice but to buy a new device. Apple has also included these three phones in the list of vintage or old-age devices so that system support and security are no longer available.
