World Liberty Financial Token Gets Fund Injection From TRON Boss Justin Sun

JAKARTA - TRON (TRX) founder Justin Sun has officially become the largest investor in the crypto project owned by US President Donald Trump, World Liberty Financial (WLFI). Sun injected 30 million US dollars (Rp474 billion). This investment pushed WLFI's total token sales past the 30 million US dollars required for Trump and his family to start accepting payments through the related company, DT Marks DEFI LLC.

Sun announced his investment through social media, We are proud to be the biggest investor in World Liberty Financial. The United States is now the center of blockchain, and Bitcoin owes Trump a debt! The funds were used to buy 2 billion WLFI tokens at a price of 0.015 US dollars, respectively (Rp237).

The WLFI project, which was launched in October 2024, is aimed at protecting the future of the US dollar in the digital era without relying on the Central Bank Digital Currecies (CBDC). In this project structure, Trump was nicknamed Chief Crypto Associate, while Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. served as Web3 Ambassadors.

However, WLFI's journey was not completely smooth. Prior to Sun's investment, the project only managed to raise 20 million US dollars (Rp316 billion), well below the initial target of 300 million US dollars (Rp4.74 trillion). The target was later revised to 30 million US dollars due to low market interest.

The WLFI token faced criticism for its limited function and was largely allocated to the project's "insider", around 70%. The skeptical public thinks this structure is more beneficial to internal parties than external investors.

The project also announced plans to launch a stablecoin which will be led by Rich Teo, co-founder of Paxos. Funds of US$14 million (Rp221 billion) have been allocated for stablecoin development which is expected to support the project ecosystem.

With the support of TRX boss Justin Sun, WLFI noted an important milestone in its journey, but project sustainability will rely on the ability to bring real value to investors while overcoming market skepticism.
